Annual series derived from JRC Global Surface Water v1.5 and built from available Landsat observations from 1984 to 2024. Each 30 m pixel classifies the year as non-water, seasonal water or permanent water. The national extent is continuous and includes the southern regions. The 1992 and 1993 layers are absent because the prepared national files contained no valid classified pixels; this data gap must not be interpreted as the disappearance of water.
