Provincial distribution of 12,017 public schools listed by Morocco’s Ministry of National Education in July 2026: 7,963 primary schools, 2,401 lower-secondary schools and 1,653 upper-secondary schools. Official administrative records were aggregated and joined to Kharita’s 75 province and prefecture units. Casablanca’s eight arrondissement prefectures are consolidated into the Casablanca unit. Values count establishments; they do not measure enrolment, capacity or accessibility.

Locations of 109 mineral sites, occurrences, prospects, historically reported producers and processing plants documented in the U.S. Geological Survey Mineral Resources Data System. Each point includes the site name, the status recorded by the source, reported commodities and the documentary-quality grade. The international MRDS database is an incomplete historical compilation: it is neither a mining cadastre nor a current list of operating mines. The extract was reprojected to WGS 84, filtered with Morocco’s complete national boundary and cleared of points outside that boundary.

Annual 15-arc-second VIIRS nighttime-radiance series (about 500 m), filtered to reduce ephemeral lights and background noise. It supports analysis of lit-area expansion, urbanisation and some changes in activity. It does not directly measure population, electricity use or GDP; industrial sites, gas flares and the availability of cloud-free observations also affect pixel values.

National series of twelve 3-arc-second WGS84 COGs describing estimated built-up surface every five years from 1975 to 2030. Each pixel contains built-up area in square metres from the European Commission Joint Research Centre’s official GHS-BUILT-S R2023A product. Historical epochs are modelled through spatial-temporal interpolation of Landsat and Sentinel-2 observations; 2025 and 2030 are short-range projections, not observations. Files cover Morocco as one continuous national extent, including the southern regions.
