Monthly time series of average wind speed at 10 m covering Morocco from 1940 to 2026, derived from the ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis. Wind speed is calculated from the horizontal U and V components, then aggregated monthly. The data are prepared in COG format over a continuous national extent including all regions of Morocco, including the southern regions.

Raster information
Each pixel estimates the monthly average of hourly wind speeds at 10 m, calculated from the U and V components. Local terrain, buildings, and vegetation are smoothed by the ERA5 grid.
